CRAZY SENSES FOR REALLY CHEAP

Most experiences depend too heavily on sight. This one’s a bit different.

Here, we are going to go to one city and experience every sense we can. For this adventure, we’re heading to Toronto.

Sight

This is the easy one - head up to the CN tower.

Taste

Our taste is far too often influenced by what we see. We see a burger, expect to taste a burger, and immediately whatever we just consumed tastes a bit more like a burger than it would have if we shut our eyes. But keeping our eyes shut is a little scary, so how can we make sure we are only impacted by our taste buds? Well, go out of the frying pan and into the fryer at O’Noir Toronto. Here, you dine in a pitch black room. The wait staff is sight-impaired and will lead you to your table yourself. If you’re feeling really adventurous, you can even choose for your meal to be a mystery- you’d be surprised how hard it is to guess what you’re eating.

Hearing

To really experience hearing, you need to disconnect every other sense from the world. There's one place in Toronto where you can do just that - one of many VR arcades. Here, you don’t just wear a VR headset, but you stand on a treadmill and hold a remote in each hand. The only thing connecting you to your friends is a pair of headphones.

Scent

As a resident sweet tooth, nothing smells better than right when you enter a bakery. And thankfully, Toronto has a bakery for every type of sweet you’re looking for.
